Pond designer software

Hydrology Studio has features that allow you to design underground stormwater detention systems. Select from a built-in library of manufactured underground storage chambers or generic. Step 1 determines the storage required using pre and post development hydrographs and target release rates. In the final step the software provides you with a dedicated outlet structure made just for underground detention.

Use an interactive tool to set the number of chambers and rows. A manufacturer-specific layout is instantly drawn right before you indicating the dimensions and total storage. The software automatically inserts a Riser structure for which you can add outlet devices such as a weir wall, orifice, exfiltration and outlet culvert. Hydrology Studio considers the more complex interactions between outlet devices in detention ponds, such as how the headwater from a culvert creates a tailwater for secondary, upstream devices.

Most other software simply applies the lesser of all device outflows, overestimating the pond's discharge resulting in an undersized detention pond. Hydrology Studio's charts provide the numeric proof you need, when you need it. This stage-discharge curve tells all about a compound outlet structure and is just one example of the technical prowess of this software. Nothing is worse than getting errors in your pond routings and not knowing exactly what went wrong, or how to correct it.

With Hydrology Studio, you're never left in the dark. Our advanced detention pond analyzer tells you what, when and where so you can quickly move forward.

Designed to be easily read and understood by you, reviewers and colleagues. These are the reports that will make you proud to hand out your business card. And it makes reviewers feel good about approving. Just check the options you like on a print menu and Hydrology Studio starts printing easy-to-read reports for any or all return periods. Automatically generates a table of contents. User defined starting page number and prefix allows you to insert into other reports.

Hydrology Studio. The smarter, faster, easier way to model stormwater. But I dont think that solidworks is really a cost efficient program to buy, and I have no idea how to use any of those features to test the idea I'm a sheetmetal engineer, I dont deal with that aspect of the software. Well, it was worth a shot! I tend to draw stuff, too, but don't have the right talents so that my ideas translate to paper. I end up drawing, then going to one of my "paint" programs where I play around with "insert square, drag to resize" -- that sort of stuff, just shapes.

Nothing that gives me that finished product look. I don't know of any There's a bunch of free CAD apps out there. I find them pretty hard to use. Google's Sketchup is free and very powerful. Pretty easy to sketch out blocks, but when it gets down to details I find it difficult to control.

There might be add ons that were specific to ponds, I never checked. I'm currently writing a CAD application for hobbyist wood workers and have been thinking of tweaking it for pond design. I've long wished for an easy to use app that would provide basic water level analysis. You can flip rotate and delete really easy to use after you get used to it. Fun to work with it. That is how I redisgned my sons house inside and out and remodeled it all by myself. Makes it easier to figure out each room layout.

Anyway, went through a couple of the tutorials and they looked pretty good. New learning curve Will try the download on the main computer later. Lol, it was the name I came up with when I was like 12 years old and my parents bought thier first computer, and it has just stuck with me all these years, easy to rember when pretty much every website I log into has the same name.

Full one looks like you can choose different designs to look just like you house, and map out your whole landscape. TurtleMommy, I'd be interested in your review of Sketchup if you get to use it. Detention Pond Analysis and Design Software From basic site designs to complex drainage studies, you can effectively model rainfall and runoff from urban and rural watersheds to design detention and retention facilities, outlet structures, and channels.

The intuitive and easy-to-use interface simplifies detention pond design while the robust calculation engine handles the complexity of interconnected pond modeling.

With OpenFlows PondPack, you have the best of both worlds: Improved design productivity Delivery of high-quality pond design projects. Gain increased workflow efficiency and streamline the planning, design, and engineering of your next stormwater system project through: Simple step-by-step pond and outlet design : Easily manage the sequence of steps required to take a pond from blank page to final design.

OpenFlows PondPack's PondMaker guides you through the confusing maze of pond design steps by providing a step-by-step process that provides constant feedback on how the design is progressing. Streamlined model building and management : Leverage and import virtually any external data format to jumpstart the model. Then you can manipulate the model data effectively, with the ability to use a multitude of data entry and model editing tools that simplify and shorten the modeling process. Improved understanding of real-world situations : Model complex pond scenarios with confidence, including simulating tidal and tailwater effects in interconnected ponds.
