Speaking of lasting for decades here is the first Filter Queen model we ever saw or worked on. I don't know its exact age but I would estimate as of that these are about 45 to 50 years old. They are to old for us to work on and sell we don't service or sell them more but its crazy as we sometimes see these still working no problem.

It speaks volumes about the Filter Queen brand and how good of a vacuum they make. Filter Queen Majestic Vacuum- Silver. With this model the biggest changes I noticed were the color, and the name Majestic was put on the vacuum. It was a great model and still had the non-pump style hose with the longer wand.

This was a workhorse model but there was one thing I did not like as much as the newer models. That is the hose and wand. The hose was not a gas pump style so the wand had to be made extra long. Over time where the hose went into the main wand the hose tends to break. Also this vacuum was made before selling online took off so this vacuum is hard to ship with its extra long wand. You have to ship the wand in a separate box or make the box your using to ship the vacuum a lot bigger.

So if you decide to buy one of these online sometimes you can get the next newest model for almost the same price. That being said if your considering buying another plastic disposable vacuum at your local big box store because your on a budget then I suggest getting this model instead. They made some good feature changes with this model.

This is a nice feature on the hose as if you want to turn off your electric power nozzle you just flick the switch on the hose right where your hand is.

They changed the color and with this model there were two color styles of powerhead, black and chrome. Your health is your most important asset, without it you have nothing else.

My thanks to FilterQueen. I have had their vacuum for 30 years, still works great today, looking forward to purchasing again in the future. I have had many air purifiers. This one by all means is the best. Well worth the price. I now have a quality machine that will last many years. This is the third unit that I have of the Defender. We have 3 smokers in our house and really need these to help with the air. These unis are undetectable to the ear on low and medium, but high is a little annoying so I keep them at the lowest level in our family room, but believe it or not I have it on high in the bedroom.

I can certainly here the unit but I learned jyst to ignore it and now it doesn't bother my sleep but this did take some time.
